Fudge Ice Cream Featuring Darriwell Farm

This month at Scoop Club, we’re going with fudge ice cream for one of our flavours. We considered making our own fudge but in the end opted to use a local Victorian business that supplies a range of premium fudge. Read on to get the scoop on Darriwell Farm.

Darriwill Farm ProductsWho are Darriwell Farm?

If you’ve passed through Geelong, you may have stumbled onto Darriwell Farm. This hidden gem boasts an 840 hectare property which includes a lovely bluestone homestead, a vineyard, olive trees and much more. They also stock a yummy range of food including biscuits, relishes, vinegar, wine as well as tea towels, bowls and more for the kitchen.

Why we love Darriwell Farm

This brand has a chain of retail stores throughout Victoria that have managed to retain the charm of the traditional Aussie country store. Not only are they a great place to shop, they also have some very tasty food. And, of course, some of it is made locally here in Victoria which is really important to us here at Scoop Club. Supporting the local economy and getting really good quality ingredients at the same time is a wining formula!

Salted Caramel Fudge

Let’s talk fudge

Scoop Club Ice Cream MelbourneAs we previously mentioned, our members are going to receive an amazing tub of fudge ice cream this month. We decided to make fudge the hero and find a product that tasted exceptional. We decided to use the Darriwell brand.

Although the fudge is made in England, we decided to give it a try. It was a really tasty fudge and the options we sampled were salted caramel and maple. Both were delicious although we found the salted caramel worked very well with our ice cream base.

So there it is. Our first fudge ice cream flavour used Darriwell fudge and we think you’ll enjoy it! Next month there will be another fudge ice cream using a different fudge supplier. Stay tuned because we know it’s going to be popular.
