Mango Ice Cream Recipe

Mango ice cream is the ultimate summer treat. If you love a Weis Bar, this is the recipe for you! Make a summery frozen dessert that combines sweet fresh mango with a not-too-sweet ice cream.

Adding pureed mangoes to the ice cream mixture is quick and easy, but fine icy particles will result. For a smoother texture and fruitier punch, gently simmer the mango puree until it reduces. It’s an extra step, but you’ll get a better final dessert without any icy bits of fruit.

Thank you so much for this recipe! Absolutely delicious! This was the first time I have made ice cream and it turned out perfectly, so creamy and smooth, not icy as I had expected on my first attempt. I did, however, add about 1/2 cup more of the mango puree, as we all love mango. Definitely a family favourite in our house.

Made this the first ice cream in our new ice cream maker. It turned out perfectly. I was wondering if the same recipe works with other fruit such as passionfruit or raspberry?
